Bio

Dr. Callista Rakhmatov is an international development professional and global scholar at Michigan State University (MSU), serving as a Global Network Specialist in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources International Programs, World Technology Access Program (WorldTAP) and the Department of Entomology. Her work focuses on agricultural capacity building, science communication, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and commercialization. She develops and leads training programs and workshops that support the adoption of innovations and strengthen global food systems.

Research

Rakhmatov’s work advances agricultural innovation by connecting researchers, entrepreneurs and farmers to tools, training and resources that strengthen food systems and support sustainable development. Current projects include the development of a global platform for agricultural science communication to improve access to reliable information, remove barriers to technology adoption caused by misinformation and enhance collaboration among stakeholders.

 

Outreach

Rakhmatov has led initiatives in 14 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe, helping global agricultural professionals implement best practices in research, extension and innovation adoption. She organizes networking and professional development activities for MSU Global Scholars and Global Fellows Programs, providing opportunities to build international partnerships and strengthen capacity in agricultural development.
