Student Organic Farm

Corrine Johnston is a junior at MSU majoring in Sustainable & Organic Horticulture with minors in Entomology and Environmental Studies and Sustainability. Before starting at the Student Organic Farm she worked at its sister farm, the Bailey Greenhouse and Urban Farm. Here she found she was very passionate about farming that helped people and the planet. She also helped care for the Bailey Hall Roof-Top honeybees and as a result became very interested in pollinators. Pursing her love for pollinators she started working as a research assistant in the Wetzel lab which focuses their research on insect ecology.Through her studies she hopes to discover ways to farm in a collaborative way with the earth. In her free time she enjoys adventure, making kombucha, and petting bees.
