Dian Liepe
Dian Liepe is a Michigan State University Extension 4-H program coordinator in Allegan County who has worked in this capacity since January 2012.
In this role, Dian Liepe provides leadership and management of local 4-H programs, volunteers, and youth participants in Allegan County. She promotes and strengthens the Allegan County 4-H program by developing programs and partnerships, promoting, and evaluating 4-H programs, and recruiting and training volunteers. Dian is also the liaison from the state Michigan 4-H office and helps to ensure that statewide opportunities and information is available to local participants.
Before becoming the 4-H program coordinator in 2012, Dian was employed by Allegan County as the 4-H program assistant from 1984 thru 2011. From 1977 to 1983 Dian was employed by MSU Extension as the Cheboygan County 4-H Program Assistant.
Originally from Allegan County Dian was a 4-H member for 10 years, teen leader and President of her club. She attended the 4-H Exploration Days and Citizenship Washington Focus. Many awards including several county awards, 4-H Key Club winner, and District 4-H Award Winner. Later as 4-H Program Assistant Dian won the Presidential Award, Michigan Distinguished Staff Award, several Team awards and the National Distinguished 4-H Staff award.
