Background and Research Interests
The first time I went to college, I went to culinary school. I worked in foodservice for over fifteen years and cooked in (and helped run) a lot of kitchens. I left the hospitality industry to teach cooking classes and to find a job where I could do some good. I went back to school in 2019, and got my BS in dietetics from MSU this spring. I'm interested in health education, food security, bias in health and nutrition research, and the ways policy decisions affect public health.
