Ghaida Batarseh Havern
Ghaida Batarseh Havern is a Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Health Educator with Michigan State University Extension’s Health and Nutrition Institute, based in Macomb County. In this role, Ghaida provides nutrition and physical activity programming for the maternal, infant, & early childhood population within the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) program. She also provides support for policy, system, & environmental (PSE) change efforts that benefit this target population in Michigan.
In her previous role with Extension, Ghaida served as a Food Safety Educator for District 11. Ghaida received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, Nutrition Concentration from Oakland University and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Science from Wayne State University.
