Department of Fisheries and WildlifeMSU Natural Resources Building, rm 13
I am an M.S. student in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University. I received my B.S. degree from the Department of Biological Sciences at Middle East Technical University/Turkey in 2014. I am mainly interested in aquatic ecology, conservation, and population biology and modelling. I have worked for the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry since 2016, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Daniel Hayes, I will be focusing on the effects of water withdrawal on fish populations in streams and modelling the potential consequences of water level changes for my thesis research. In my free time, I enjoy watching various documentaries, almost all kinds of outdoor sports and I love playing drums! Also, I am interested in geology and paleontology at an amateur level.
