Heidi DeVooght is an educator with Michigan State University Extension and a member of the Nutrition and Physical Activity (NPA) Team. She focuses on community-based public health approaches to increasing physical activity across Michigan. Based in Washtenaw County, where she grew up, Heidi is excited to build connections that support healthier, more active communities.
With a background in education and community programming, Heidi is passionate about creating opportunities for people to be active, especially in communities that face barriers to access. She has worked in a variety of educational settings, gaining experience in culturally relevant programming and community engagement. Heidi holds a B.A. in International Studies from Michigan State University and an M.Ed. from Northwestern University. She is fluent in Spanish and values building authentic, inclusive partnerships.
