Jae Gerhart is an M.S. student in Community Sustainability. She returns to school by way of MSU Extension, where she works as the Local Foods Coordinator for Washtenaw County. A farmer herself, her interests lie in the economics of sustainable agricultural systems and analyzing the externalized costs of the food supply chain at large. Prior to pursuing a master's degree, Jae earned a B.G.S. and a B.F.A. in Dance from University of Michigan. She also completed the Organic Farmer Training Program at the MSU Student Organic Farm.
