Jim Monahan serves as a Health Communications Manager at Michigan State University Extension, helping tell the stories behind programs that support healthier people, families, and communities across Michigan. He brings more than 15 years of experience in communications, with a focus on crafting clear, engaging messages for both internal and public audiences.
His work supports MSU Extension’s Nutrition and Physical Activity, Food Safety, and Health teams and spans strategic communications, website management, writing, videography, photography, marketing, and educational outreach. Jim is especially passionate about using storytelling and digital media to make research-based health information approachable, relevant, and impactful.
