Jenny Speyer
Jenny Speyer is a Michigan State University Extension 4-H Program Instructor focused on promoting and strengthening 4-H programs in areas where 4-H has little or no presence and work to create new programming opportunities for youth in and around Livingston and Washtenaw counties. She also focuses on creating new partnerships with local organizations and businesses. She has worked in this capacity since April 2022. Jenny's offices are located in Livingston and Washtenaw Counties she provides programming in both counties.
In this role, Jenny focuses on the following programs:
- Teen Leadership Programs (Including 4-H Ambassadors and the Washtenaw County Youth Commission)
- Still Projects Programs (Arts, Crafts, Folk Arts, etc)
- Junior Master Gardener
- Embryology
- 4-H Exploration Days
- Afterschool Programming
- School Enrichment
- Library Programs
- SPIN (Special Interest) Clubs
Prior to her work in 4-H, Jenny has worked in secondary education as a history teacher, as an Educational Assistant and Leader at MSU Tollgate Farm teaching and leading programs on agriculture and natural resources, and a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kazakhstan from 2008-2010. Jenny is also a Certified Interpretive Guide.
