While completing my undergraduate degree in biology, I became interested in the ecological relationship between insects and plants. After working in the berry crops entomology lab at MSU, I became incredibly fascinated by the impact insects have on Michigan’s agricultural industry. I am excited to be pursuing a master’s degree in Zsofia Szendrei’s vegetable entomology lab. My research interests include plant-insect interactions, insect behavior, integrated pest management, and agroecology. My current project focuses on the overwintering biology of asparagus beetles and how sustainable control measures can be developed to manage their populations.
