Jennifer Weichel
Jennifer Weichel is the Volunteer Specialist for Michigan State University Extension. She has been with MSU Extension for 22 years and has served as an Extension Educator, Supervisor and Coach. Jennifer received her Master’s degree from the University of Michigan in Public Administration and enjoys developing resources for teen and adult volunteers and the volunteer administrators that support them. She received the National Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of Extension 4-H Youth Staff in 2010.
Jennifer has presented at the National Extension Conference on Volunteerism, the Non-Profit Super Conference and has conducted workshops for numerous groups including the Capital Area United Way, Leadership Shiawassee and the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the Volunteerism Area of Expertise Team for MSUE that produced the Achieving Success through Volunteers Curriculum. Jennifer enjoys working with leaders and staff across the state. Jennifer and her husband Larry have two sons to keep them on the go and enjoy being active in their community, church and school.
