Bachelor in Economics at Universidad Autonoma Chapingo

José is originally from Zitacuaro, Michoacan, Mexico. He studied agronomy and economics at Universidad Autonoma Chapingo.  He has research experience on social mobility, financial inclusion, and agricultural extension. 
 
His master's research project involves the development of a new index that tracks people’s sentiments regarding the U.S. Food & ag systems. 
 
José is currently a USDA ERS-Farm foundation Ag Scholar
