Kai N Gritter
Kai Gritter has been an Extension Educator at Michigan State University Extension since October 2019. She served as Program Coordinator and is Co-PI for the USDA grant-funded SNAP Outreach for Veterans program. She is currently an interim Staff Development Specialist for the Health and Nutrition Institute. In this role, she provides administrative support and leadership focused on staff development.
Kai has a Master of Science in Health Education and over a decade of public health experience. Prior to joining MSU Extension, she worked as an Adjunct Professor, teaching Healthy Aging to Saginaw Valley State University students. She worked in School-Based Health Centers, promoting healthy behaviors and empowering students to educate their peers. Kai also served as Administrative Coordinator for the University of Michigan-Flint's Cultural Competency program that trained nurses in the field.
Kai is certified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and facilitates social and emotional learning programs that address healthy aging, anger management, and stress-reduction. She also teaches pain management techniques to individuals living with chronic conditions.
