Kayleigh Hauri

Kayleigh is an Entomology Ph.D. student interested in sustainable farming practices including biocontrol and Integrated Pest Management, as well as harnessing plant defenses to reduce pesticide use in agroecosystems. Her current research focuses on plant-mediated interactions between above- and belowground herbivores. Prior to starting her Ph.D., she completed an MS project at Michigan State investigating the role of plant chemical defense diversity on insect foraging and predator-prey interactions. Hauri is from Des Moines, Iowa, and enjoys reading, playing board games and bar trivia, camping, and foraging in her free time.
