Korey Fennell
Bio:
Korey Fennell started his Graduate Degree in the Spring of 2022. He graduated with honors from Virgina Union University in the Fall of 2021 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. Korey completed undergraduate research with the SoP in the 2021 Summer MSU SROP under the guidance of Dr. Eva Almenar. Upon graduating in the fall of 2023, he intends to work as a packaging engineer.
Research Focus:
Currently, he is working on a project funded by EREF and AMERIPEN in which Korey is investigating the intersection between packaging and household food waste. In this project he has studied consumers awareness/behavior of the role packaging materials, formats, technologies, and features play in reducing household food waste along with quantifying household food waste. Korey previously researched consumer behavior towards plastic packaging containing agricultural waste for food.
