Recent Publications

Kristy Kellom is currently an instructor in the Interior Design Program in the School of Planning, Design and Construction at Michigan State University. She earned her Master of Arts in Environmental Design and Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from MSU. Kellom has 10 years of teaching experience in traditional face-to-face classroom environments, as well as development and implementation of web-based courses. Her teaching centers on digital graphics and media, computer-aided design, building information modeling, design fundamentals, creative problem solving and innovation, and design and human behavior. She currently teaches Design for Living (IDES 140), Computer-aided Design for Designers (IDES 240), 3D Modeling & Visualization (IDES 250), and Revit for Designers (IDES 454). Kellom is also a doctoral student in the School of Planning, Design and Construction, with research focusing on active shooter incidents in higher education, the role of the building in preparedness, and virtual reality applications.
