Kyle Herreman is a Geographic Information Systems research scientist and database manager in the Aquatic Landscape Ecology Lab at Michigan State University. He specializes in spatial analyses and generation and management of large-scale datasets, typically focused on hydrography. Outputs of his work support studies of effects of anthropogenic landscape factors on stream fish habitat.
Kyle’s current collaborators include the U.S. Geological Survey, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, Michigan Sea Grant, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, Austria, and the University of Missouri. Kyle started working for the Aquatic Landscape Ecology Lab in 2012 after completing his BS in geography with a specialization in GIS. He enjoys ice fishing, mushroom hunting, skiing, and attending live music events.
