Current Research: Local Economic Development Policy: government official and citizen concepts of “economic development;” redevelopment in Detroit; effectiveness of economic development incentives.

Methods: survey research; secondary data analysis; content analysis of public policy; case studies.

Additional interests: Animal Welfare Policy: animals in the city; public policy related to animal cruelty, dog bites, and roaming dogs; animal shelter practices; compassion fatigue. One Health.
