MaKensie Kentfield is an assistant instructor of interior design in the School of Planning, Design and Construction at Michigan State University. She earned her bachelor of arts degree in interior design from Michigan State University. Kentfield teaches Office Systems (IDES 441), Intro to Professional Practice (IDES 391) and Professional Practice (IDES 451). When she is not at MSU, she is a full-time interior designer at MarxModa. Kentfield is a certified living office specialist under Herman Miller, which explores the placemaking methodology of human centered design. She is the design lead in Lansing for both Consumers Energy and Michigan State University accounts. Kentfield also has passion around student involvement and training processes, so at MarxModa she coordinates their internship program and leads companywide adoption of the design program, CET.
