Marie Garcia is the Executive Assistant to Dr. Deanna East and Matthew Shane, the Associate Directors of Michigan State University Extension. Marie began her career with MSU Extension in 2018 as the Executive Assistant for the Health and Nutrition Institute. She was the recipient of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) Staff Innovation Award in 2022 for her creative use of technology to improve workflows within her department. She enjoys learning new software applications and integrating them into existing workflows to improve efficiency of tasks.
