Job Market Paper: The Dynamics of Subsidizing Electric Vehicle to Combat Climate Change
Minsu is a Ph.D. student studying Energy, Resource, and Urban Economics and Policy. His previous research involves resource economics of fishery and aquaculture. Those works sought optimal fishery management by connecting separate economic instruments on the Chesapeake Bay and the impact of new technology on the farmers' production in African nations. More recently, he has two lines of working papers: the optimal economic instruments in electric vehicle adoption and the role of the transnational municipal network in the energy consumption reduction of local governments.
Minsu came from South Korea and joined AFRE as a Ph.D. student in 2018. Before coming here, he had lots of working and research experience in environmental administration and legislature in South Korea: a research center under the Prime Minister's office and the National Assembly of Korea. He also participated in the 21st Conference of Parties in Paris, UNFCCC, representing the Korean Youth NGO and the Ministry of Environment.
