Background:

Rachel completed her B.S. in Wildlife Conservation at Juniata College in 2018 and went on to serve as a Natural Resource Management Peace Corps volunteer in Mexico. There she worked with a community on educational project and trainings regarding wildlife management. From there, she interned with the Bureau of Land Management in Tucson, AZ where she did a little bit of everything in both the recreation and wildlife sectors. In January 2022, Rachel joined Dr. Brian Roth's Predator Ecology and Astacology Lab where she investigates crayfish in the pet retail trade throughout the Great Lakes to determine prevalence and potential pathway invasion risks.
