Robert M. Aydukovic is a teaching specialist and program director for the Construction Management Program in the School of Planning, Design and Construction, and also conducts industry relations. He advises Student Builders and Contractors Association and coaches the Commercial Competition team. Prior to coming to MSU, he served as president of the Maryland Center for Construction Education and Innovation (MCCEI). 

Over the past 30 years, Aydukovic has worked in the construction, real estate, economic development, and education sectors. His focus has been on general construction labor, project management, market feasibility and financial analysis and undergraduate program administration.  

Aydukovic has also structured public-private partnerships that resulted in more than $700M invested and 1,500 jobs created or retained in Maryland since 1996.  

Prior to joining MCCEI, Aydukovic ran a real estate and construction consulting practice with several private sector clients, and has worked for the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, the Baltimore Development Corporation, Belair-Edison Neighborhoods and the Overhead Door Company of Washington, DC.   

His teaching and research interests include building reuse and repurposing, financial feasibility, public-private partnerships, land use pattern analysis, and economic forecasting.

Aydukovic has also served as an adjunct faculty member at both the University of Baltimore and the Johns Hopkins University.  

He earned his Master of Science in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University and his Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Management from Michigan State University. 

Aydukovic has been involved with numerous boards and commissions: The Maryland Workforce Alliance, the University of Baltimore (UB) Real Estate and Economic Development Program Advisory Board, the MSU Construction Management Alumni & Industry Advisory Board, the Saint Ambrose Housing Aid Center Board of Directors, the Dean’s Business Advisory Council at UB’s Merrick School of Business, and ACE Mentor of Baltimore, Inc.
