Background:

I am a PhD scholar in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife and an Environmental Studies and Policy Program (ESPP) fellow. I completed my Master’s degree in Environmental Science in 2013 from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Following that, I engaged as an environmental researcher in diverse environmental and climate change cross cutting issues, working with interdisciplinary teams at the community and national level. Currently, I work in the Kramer lab, pursuing work on socio-ecological impacts of climate change and dam construction in the Lower Mekong River Basin, a NASA funded project. My research interest is to explore adaptive pathways in the food system while addressing socio-ecological complexity, in addition to future climate uncertainties. I love being in proximity to nature and enjoy hiking and trekking along with exploring cultures across landscapes and ways of life.
