MSU Extension Lenawee County

Vanessa is currently serving as the Training Coordinator for the Nutrition and Physical Activity work team at MSU Extension. In this role, she assists with the development of training programs and helps onboard new staff. Vanessa works to ensure that programs promoting better nutrition and physical activity are implemented effectively, with the goal of helping individuals improve their health and well-being.

She joined MSU Extension in July of 2019 as a Community Nutrition Instructor, where she focused on providing nutrition education to individuals and communities.

Prior to her time at MSU Extension, Vanessa earned a degree in Photographic Technology and transitioned into community service roles, including working as a Parent Liaison for Lenawee Great Start, where she helped families in need.

Vanessa also has a decade of experience in the U.S. Air Force, where she developed valuable skills in leadership and teamwork that continue to inform her work.
