- B.S. - Marine Science and Biology, Coastal Carolina University, 2010
Background
I am originally from Rochester, New York where my family still resides. The mysticism of the ocean and the species that reside therein has long intrigued me. This pursuit of knowledge led me to a dual B.S. degree in Marine Science and Biology at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC. There I learned the basics of fisheries science which intrude me and has since been my interest. I continued to follow this interest through pursuing a Master’s in Fisheries and Wildlife Science at Virginia Tech. I studied the estimability of natural mortality within a Statistical Catch-at-age model using the Gulf of Mexico red snapper data.
Research
I am studying the impact of movement of fish between management boundaries on the assessment of fished stocks.
