Overview

The Careers – Bridging Human and Animal Health lesson is designed to encourage participant discussion of careers in human and animal health. During this lesson, participants will learn some of the careers important to the One Health concept that recognizes the connection between environmental health, animal health and human health. Participants will also understand how all of these careers must rely on each other to keep everyone healthy. This lesson features two hands-on components to help reinforce the idea that all careers must work together to bridge human and animal health.

 

Objectives

After completing this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the career opportunities available through One Health.
  • Describe how all careers must work together to keep humans and animals healthy.
  • Explain how these careers are related to participants’ daily lives
