Commerce Centers in Michigan

The Commerce Centers concept was one of the many recommendations put forth by the Michigan Land Use Leadership Council (MLULC) in its 2003 report to Governor Granholm. The Senate Committee on Commerce and Labor developed this concept into a bill, which is currently in the Michigan Senate and the House. This bill provides a good skeleton for the design of the program; however, further information is needed to make decisions about the appropriate vision and implementation strategy.
