Forest Types of Michigan: Forest Ownership

This 3-page full-color bulletin Forest Ownership discusses the ownership of the 20 million acres of Michigan forest including private, non-industrial; national; other federal (such as national park lands and wildlife refuges); state; other public (such as county and tribal governments); and corporate. It’s one in a series of 19 bulletins Forest Types of Michigan that focuses on 10 forest types that commonly occur in Michigan forests, as well as one bulletin on hybrid poplar and hybrid willow. The series also includes fact sheets about several forest management topics of interest to forest owners.
