  • Native range: Eastern Asia
  • Salt: Moderate tolerance
  • pH: 5.0 - 7.5
  • Other: Good growth rate in moist sites
  • Shape: Rounded
  • Foliage: Dark green, glossy
  • Fall color: Yellow
  • Additional: Transplant in spring
  • Pests: Reasonably pest-free, preferred by orange-striped oakworms
  • Responsible use: In some locations, particularly in states south of Michigan, this species may have become invasive. To date, it has not been determined to be invasive in Michigan.
