Supporting Community-Centered Solar Development

EmailResearchers at MSU, University of Michigan, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, along with Extension staff from 5 universities in five states (including MSU) worked with counties to plan and host proactive community-centered conversations about large-scale solar development. While each of these conversations was site-specific and sensitive to the current status of solar energy development and state policy context, many similarities arose from these conversations. The findings for how to plan and host such a meeting are outlined in eight steps in this guidebook.
