CANR Support Staff Awards
The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources appreciates and values our support and administrative staff. One way we strive to recognize their contributions is by providing a “Staffer of the Month” award, a “Staff Member of the Year” award and an “Outstanding Team of the Year” award.
With the support of both Dean Ron Hendrick and Kris Hynes, senior associate to the dean and director of Staff Human Resources, the SAC oversees these recognition programs. CANR has a yearly recognition program that includes an Outstanding Team and Individual Staff Member award.
Below is the list of the awards with a short summary of the award and some possible criteria for recognition. Links to Nomination forms are located at the end of this page.
Support Staffer of the Month
Awarded to a member of the CANR support staff who has done something special or noteworthy within their unit or college. This award is meant to be recognized for small acts of kindness, performance, or spirit. This will be a monthly award.
Award based on:
- Contribution to the department
- Contribution to the college or university
Outstanding Individual Staff Award
Awarded to a member of the CANR support staff (this includes CT, AP, Service Maintenance, Supervisor, Skilled Trades, and off campus staff) who has demonstrated an exemplary contribution to his/her unit within the last year. The cash award amount and the number of recipient winners is to be determined by the Dean.
Outstanding Team Staff Award
Outstanding team award is given to one support staff team of the CANR whose members have demonstrated excellence in teamwork in the job within the last year. The cash award amount and the number of recipient winners is to be determined by the Dean.
Staff and Team Awards are based on:
- Evidence of exemplary work performance
- Evidence of team spirit
- Evidence of positive attitude
- Refer to outline of criteria and nomination requirements
