Michigan 4-H offers a wide variety of statewide 4-H events and opportunities throughout the year for youth to grow, lead, and explore their interests. Whether you're passionate about animals, leadership, science, or the arts, there's something for everyone.
These programs offer incredible opportunities for youth to explore their passions, build leadership skills, and connect with others across the state and beyond.

- 4-H Spring Livestock Workshop – youth and volunteers learn about aspects of their livestock projects (March)
- State 4-H Rabbit & Cavy Show – Showcase your rabbit or cavy project (January)
- Michigan 4-H Dairy Conference – Learn about dairy science and careers (March)
- Equine Hippology, Judging Contest – Test horse knowledge/skills (March)
- Livestock Judging Contest – Evaluate livestock and build communication skills (July)
- 4-H and FFA Meats Judging State Contest – Meat evaluation (TBD)
- Dairy Days Contests – Participate in dairy-related competitions (July)
- State 4-H Dog Show – Show off your dog training and handling skills (August)
- State 4-H Horse Show – Compete in a variety of horse show classes with youth from across the state (August)

- 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Workshop – Become a certified instructor (Spring/Fall)
- State 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament – Showcase your marksmanship and safety skills in this statewide tournament (August)
- National 4-H Shooting Sports Championship – Represent Michigan nationally in shooting sports disciplines (Summer)
- Leadership & Civic Engagement
- 4-H Exploration Days - A 3-day campus experience at MSU with hands-on learning (June)
- Capitol Experience – Learn about government and public policy (March)
- Citizenship Washington Focus – Travel to D.C. for leadership and civic engagement training (June)
- Youth Spectacular Leadership Workshop – Build leadership skills through interactive sessions and connect with other youth (December – odd number years)
- Michigan 4-H State Youth Leadership Council – Join a statewide youth leadership team and help shape the future of Michigan 4-H (Apply August)
- National 4-H Conference – Represent Michigan in national youth leadership (April)
- National 4-H Congress – Leadership and civic engagement national youth event in Atlanta, GA (November)
- Ignite by 4-H Summit Conference Represent Michigan 4-H at this prestigious leadership event in Washington, D.C. (March)

- 4-H Adventure Camp – 3 day/2 night summer camp with a variety of outdoor activities like swimming, archery, biking, outdoor survival, arts, and more (June)
- Saginaw Bay 4-H Fish Camp – day camp that focuses fishing, tackle making, and conservation (July)
- Great Lakes Natural Resources Camp – Enjoy a week of outdoor adventure and environmental learning (July)
- 4-H Winterfest – Overnight winter workshops for youth ages 8-12 (February)
