    At 4-H Animal & Vet Science Camp, youth ages 13-17 explore the fields of animal and veterinary science and engage in interactive, hands-on learning. Attend for your chance to practice veterinary medicine, research zoonotic conditions and discover careers!

  • 4-H Beef Production & Management

    4-H livestock projects, including beef, provide great opportunities for youth to learn about animal and veterinary science, as well as animal production practices while gaining valuable life skills such as responsibility and record-keeping.

  • 4-H Biological Science

    Youth explore the broad scope of biological science through real-life scenarios and educational opportunities about life and living processes. Topics vary widely from aquatic science to veterinary science.

  • 4-H Companion Animals

    4-H youth explore veterinary and animal science by engaging in projects with their pet and learning to feed, train and care for the animal.

  • 4-H Dairy Cattle Production & Management

    4-H livestock projects, including dairy, provide great opportunities for youth to learn about animal and veterinary science, as well as animal production practices while gaining valuable life skills such as responsibility and record-keeping.

  • 4-H Entomology

    If rare beetles or other insects are of interest, Michigan 4-H has a program for youth to become involved in. Whether observing, photographing or collecting insects there is plenty to explore when it comes to entomology.

  • 4-H Exploration Days

    This signature MSU precollege program brings youth ages 11-19 to the campus of Michigan State University to live like a college student for three days and build critical life skills for the transition to college and adulthood.

  • 4-H Great Lakes & Natural Resources Camp

    Campers explore dunes, hike forest trails, wade through wetlands, fish, snorkel and sail on Lake Huron while educators and scientists teach them about the Great Lakes ecosystem.

  • 4-H Healthy U at MSU Camp

    Gain knowledge about nutrition, physical fitness and personal safety while having the opportunity to visit and explore MSU!

  • 4-H Horses & Ponies

    Youth explore veterinary and animal science by engaging in horse projects that develop life skills. Activities include showing, riding, educational contests, leadership opportunities, career exploration and judging; many do not require horse ownership.

  • 4-H Plants, Soils & Gardening

    4-H youth explore the broad scope of plant sciences through educational opportunities about crops, vegetables, horticulture and more. Participants learn about topics include weeds, crops, fruits, vegetables, gardening, horticulture, and agronomy.

  • 4-H Poultry Production & Management

    Youth explore veterinary and animal science by learning to feed, train and care for bird projects, including chickens, turkeys, ducks and others.

  • 4-H Rabbits & Cavies

    Youth explore veterinary and animal science by learning to feed, train and care for rabbit and cavy projects. This project area is especially great for youth in urban areas.

  • 4-H Renewable Energy Camp

    Youth ages 13-15 explore how Michigan’s abundant natural resources and growing agriculture industry are changing the face of energy. This five day exploration camp allows youth to explore ideas, research and careers in the field of energy.

  • 4-H Science Blast in the Class

    Science Blast in the Class is a great resource for teachers in the classroom, those working in after-school programs or as part of a club. The guide includes 13 hands-on lessons as well as support materials to enrich the learning process.

  • 4-H Tech Wizards

    With the guidance and support of caring, committed adult mentors, youth explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics through fun, hands-on projects in the 4-H Tech Wizards program.

  • 4-H Veterinary Science

    Explore the broad scope of veterinary medicine and animal health. In addition to learning valuable life skills, youth investigate topics such as medicine, animal health, zoonotic disease, animal management and nutrition.
