HRT 222L - Houseplants and Interiorscapes Lab
This lab with the concurrent (HRT 222) will provide hands-on experience in greenhouse houseplant production and interiorscape design, maintenance, and management. Students will learn propagation techniques, crop scheduling, and the production and maintenance considerations for many major categories of houseplants, including: ferns, bromeliads and other epiphytes, succulents, cacti, foliage plants, and orchids. Identification of common houseplant species will also be required. Students will also explore interiorscape management, which is the design, installation, and maintenance of houseplants in residential and commercial settings.
