FN5 Daily: Corn performance trials complete despite COVID challenges

Michigan State University is releasing its 2020 Corn and Soybean Performance Trials. Conducted annually, trials are designed to offer farmers, extension personnel and seed companies with an unbiased look at the performance of hybrids submitted to MSU by private seed companies.

James Dedecker, director of MSU's Upper Peninsula Research and Extension Center describes progress in the 'cover crops inter-seeded into corn' project on the Havelka dairy farm in Stephenson, MI. This project is part of the ongoing work in the U.P. funded by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service "Conservation Innovation Grant" program.
