  • Michigan 4-H Youth Conservation Council

    The Michigan 4-H Youth Conservation Council offers leadership and confidence-building, acquisition of important life skills, a chance to explore solutions to environmental issues, and much more! M4HYCC is for children ages 13 to 19.

  • 4-H Great Lakes & Natural Resources Camp

    Campers explore dunes, hike forest trails, wade through wetlands, fish, snorkel and sail on Lake Huron while educators and scientists teach them about the Great Lakes ecosystem.

  • 4-H Plants, Soils & Gardening

    4-H youth explore the broad scope of plant sciences through educational opportunities about crops, vegetables, horticulture and more. Participants learn about topics include weeds, crops, fruits, vegetables, gardening, horticulture, and agronomy.

  • 4-H Exploration Days

    This MSU precollege program welcomes youth ages 12-19 to explore their future, try new things and experience college life! During this three-day event, youth will gain confidence and independence through hands-on learning and make friends for a lifetime.

  • 4-H Shooting Sports

    In the Michigan 4-H Shooting Sports program, members can learn safety and shooting techniques for shotgun, rifle, air pistol, muzzle loading and archery. They also learn how to handle firearms responsibly for target practice and hunting.

    This program uses the outdoors to lead youth in activities that teach how to plan, organize, and conduct their own activities outdoors. Participants learn canoeing, kayaking, backpacking, hiking, outdoor survival and safety skills and more.
