Map Network/Shared Drive

A network drive provides a location for shared disk access, i.e. shared storage of computer files (such as documents, sound files, photographs, movies, images, databases, etc.).  The network drive may also provide storage space for personal data.

ANR Technology Services provides network drive storage for both:

  • ANR Share (S:) - Shared drive that all members of your unit or group may save data to and retrieve data from
  • Personal Drive (U:) - Personal drive that only you can save data to

You can access the ANR Shared S: drive or your personal U: drive on your computer for easy access to the drives for viewing, editing and saving saving of files. You can also access these when not connected to the network by mapping the drive to your computer and connecting via MSU VPN.

NOTE: To access the mapped drives while not connected to the ANR Network (off campus, working remotely, etc.) you will need to use the MSU VPN Services.
