Life of the Straits: Les Cheneaux
July 30, 2020
Have you ever wanted to visit the mystical land of Narnia? Well you’re in luck, because in this edition of Life of the Straits we explore the Les Cheneaux area home to a number of amazing features including an area locals call Narnia.
The Les Cheneaux area includes an archipelago of over 30 islands strung out along the north coast of Lake Huron. We explore the area then head to the mainland shoreline along the Nature Conservancy’s Woolam preserve. Take a tour with us as we explore the boreal forest and amazing dolomite boulders found here. We end with a great ecosystem in a bottle activity where you and your family can build your own mini living ecosystems.
