Learning about our nation’s history empowers today’s youth to forge a brighter future. What better place to do that than Washington, DC! Youth ages 14-19 have the opportunity to experience our nation's capital like never before or ever again!

Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF) is a premier week-long 4-H citizenship and leadership experience. CWF brings 4-H delegations from around the country together to experience our Nation's Capital! The Michigan 4-H Delegation will leave by bus on Saturday, June 24 with the first stop at the Flight 93 Memorial in Pennsylvania. Traveling on, the delegation will stay Saturday night in Gettysburg. Sunday the group will tour the battlegrounds and then travel on to the Hyatt Regency in Bethesda, MD for 5 days of eventful programming, including meetings with our Senators and Representatives, tours of many monuments provided by a licensed DC tour guide, and incredible workshops that teach life skills like civil discourse and critical thinking.

The total cost is $2,000.00 (includes transportation from East Lansing or Coldwater, all lodging, conference costs, and most meals) plus 7 meals and spending money per participant. For additional information, go to the website at: https://www.canr.msu.edu/citizenship_washington_focus/index.
