Leelanau County has a predominantly rural character with great pastoral beauty, a topography that offers numerous panoramic vistas and over 100 miles of Great Lakes Shoreline, and one of the nation's premier national parks - The Sleeping Bear Dunes.  The County serves as a tourist destination that is renowned for its natural resources, cherry orchards, vineyards, beaches, pastoral scenes and key cultural features such as foodie restaurants and wineries.  Agriculture generates over 1200 jobs in Leelanau County.
