Katje Armentrout
Katje Armentrout is a Michigan State University Extension Community Food Systems Educator and Product Innovation Counselor housed in Washtenaw County.
Katje holds a PhD in American Studies from Purdue University, as well as both a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a dual concentration in Fiber Arts and Sculpture and a Master of Arts in Humanities degree from Central Michigan University. She specializes in farmers markets and food studies, community development, agricultural history, and environmental sustainability. Katje developed interests in agricultural lifestyle practices from a young age and was raised to respect food producers and the hard work required to thrive in agricultural environments.
