Patti Marrs
Patti Marrs is a Michigan State University Extension program instructor focused on early childhood education and family development. Her primary office location is in Genesee County, and she provides programming in Clinton, Ingham, and Shiawassee counties.
In this role, Patti trains virtually and in-person on topics for early childhood educators, caregivers, and parents, including topics on preparing children for school success in early childhood and social and emotional health in children. She also provides family education and support through in-person and statewide virtual parenting trainings and collaborative parent-child learning experiences. In addition, Patti also has a special interest in parent/child playgroups, family playtime, and music and movement classes for caregiver and child.
Prior to her work at MSU Extension, Patti worked as a kindergarten teacher and after-school care teacher/director. Patti recently earned her Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Michigan University and received her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Michigan- Flint in K-8 Education with majors in Social Science and Language Arts and a minor in Early Childhood Education.
