Food, Agriculture, Research and Manufacturing Accelerator & Food Hub (FARM)

About us

Opened in 2021, the Food, Agriculture, Research and Manufacturing (FARM) Accelerator and Food Hub is a dynamic space located in Muskegon, Michigan. Owned and operated by the Community Foundation for Muskegon County and managed by Michigan State University (MSU) Extension, we foster collaboration, innovation, and growth in the food and agricultural industries. Our mission is to provide the resources, facilities, and support necessary for businesses to expand and startups to thrive in the rapidly evolving food sector.

In 2023, FARM started collaborating with growers and schools to assist with processing produce for 10 Cents a Meal for Michigan’s Kids and Farms. With this success, the opportunity to provide space for local growers to minimally process the diverse fruits and vegetables grown in the region, it is a natural fit to connect the healthy, locally grown food with other schools, hospitals, institution, restaurants and families in our region.

Our vision

Our vision is to create a sustainable and innovative food ecosystem that supports regional agriculture, empowers entrepreneurs, and ensures long-term economic prosperity for the West Michigan area and beyond. Through cutting-edge research and development, we aim to address global food security challenges while promoting local food solutions.
