Tree fruit is beginning fruit sizing, with most apples between 8-12 mm and stone fruit 15-20 mm. Warm weather has been very good for thinning. Storms Tuesday may result in to cooler, dry conditions later this week. -

With the recent hot weather, we blew through sweet cherry bloom, and many farms are in tart cherry bloom or at early petal fall; apples are also opening but will slow with the cooler temperatures in the forecast. -

Weather has made a turn from cooler and wetter than normal to up to 20 degrees above normal temperatures. This warm weather will speed up crop development; watch for pop up rains and new green tissue that needs to be covered for diseases.
