For Extension Master Gardeners
Extension Master Gardener (EMG) volunteers are an important part of MSU Extension. They help expand Michigan State University’s outreach to individuals and communities across the state. In 2018, 3,507 Extension Master Gardeners were involved in 157,430 hours helping individuals and communities grow! These volunteers were involved in efforts to enhance environmental stewardship; provide access to healthy, affordable food; improve communities and enrich the lives of young people through gardening.
