Chopped Food Challenge Camp: Last Day!
Today is the very last day of our Chopped week, as well as the very last day of our 2022 Summer Camp Series! Let's see how the campers spent their final day:
Games
As was needed, we decided that the very last day should be extremely fun and eventful, so playing all of our camp games was a must! The campers ran about the farm, going from 'Where's my Chicken?' to 'Owls & Mice', and then to 'Wrens & Jays' to have the most fun possible. We even played 'Fruit Basket' for a very long while, and it was so fun to hear all the campers giggling away at each game.
Waterslide
Of course, the waterslide was so well received in our Splish Splash week, we brought it back for the campers to enjoy for our final day! They all got into swimsuits and took multiple turns speeding down the slippery slide, all wide smiles to see. At one point, we even started a water sliding race where the campers raced one another to see who was faster and could go farther! It was an awesome way to end the morning.
Trail Mix & Meal Prep
Since today is the Great Food Tasting of 2022, we didn't really have a section of Garden Kitchen, but we did have a ready-to-go trail mix that all the campers got to eat while preparing their big surprise meals for the panels of judges this afternoon. The campers got set to do more cutting, scraping, mixing, and taste-testing so they can add more or take away ingredients
Time for a Taste! 
Here it is! The biggest event all summer, The Great Food Tasting of 2022 Summer Camps! Our panel of judges includes a lot of the staff from our Farm, who were very eager to try these camper creations, and give them a good score. In the end, all the camp groups scored the same amount of points in a very close tie! Each group scored high in different categories which is the reason why the scores did tie. Afterward, each group got to taste the other groups' creations and everybody got a thumbs up from each other!
More Games and Book Signing
We continued playing more games until the end of the camp day, letting the campers choose whichever game they wanted. While doing this, the campers got to take their recipe books, and let other campers and staff members sign them as a nice memento to take home with them of the amazing day they had and the food that they made.
Final Summer Camp Skits!
As always on Fridays, the parents are invited to come down to the pavilion to watch their kids perform a skit based off of what they learned at camp. It could be a song, dance, or a small play, each group decides which one they want to do, practice over the week, and then today, they presented it! It is always so nice to see the parents' smiles as their kids perform.
