2022 SUMMER CAMP STAFF

It's that specific time of year when all of our summer camps are ready to take off! Before they do, we thought we should introduce our lovely staff members who will be helping our campers have the best summer ever:

SUNEETEE VIJAY ARCHIS

Hello there, I am Ms. Archis. I have a master's degree in Nutritional Sciences from Oklahoma State University, with some national and international experience in the field of food and nutrition. Culture specific sustainable nutrition is my passion. I love traveling and have visited 8 different countries so far. Looking forward to having fun cooking some fresh n' healthy mini snacks in the Garden Kitchen with you all at Tollgate Farm!

SARA MUND

Hi Guys! Ms. Sara here! I am so looking forward to being the Summer Camp Coordinator for my 4th Summer Camp Season here at MSU Tollgate Farm. Some fun facts about me include, I moved up to Michigan from Florida in August of 2018, I have a degree in Elementary/Exceptional Education from Flagler College, I have an adorable pet cat named Kale, I love trail running and baking, and I cannot wait to get muddy with all of you this summer as we learn and play throughout the farm!

ALEX WORTH

Hello, everybody! My name is Ms. Alex and I’m so looking forward to this summer with y’all! This is my third year working on the summer camp team, coming on this year as the Assistant Camp Coordinator. I’m the second oldest of seven siblings and graduated in 2021 from U of M (I know, I know). On the farm, I especially enjoy eating fresh food from Garden Kitchen, visiting the worms in the vermicompost, and exploring the forest. When I’m not at Tollgate, you can find me drinking tea, reading creative non-fiction, skating at the park, dancing (terribly, but joyfully), dyeing anything I can get my hands on, or singing karaoke with my friends. 

TONI BOHLING

Hello, campers, my name is Ms. Toni and I will be your Garden Kitchen Leader. I have two previous years' experience as a camp counselor. I will be a senior this fall at Central Michigan University where I will be majoring in Child Development and Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health. I can't wait to show you new and yummy recipes this summer!

JENNIFER BUGLI

Hello! I am your Summer Camp Communications Coordinator, so you will find me running around with a camera telling the campers to "say cheese!". I graduated from MSU with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History. It is my hope to document all the wonderful things that we do this summer in our lovely blog for you to enjoy. I love reading large novels, painting, freelance designing, and singing in my free time, when I'm not teaching music lessons and doing many more things! I can't wait to get started!

KAITLYN HIGGINS

My name is Kaitlyn Higgins, and I am an Edu Leader for the summer camp here at Tollgate! I’m currently a junior at Michigan State University with double majors and minors on my path to studying sustainable agriculture. My majors are Environmental Economics and Management and Agribusiness Management, and my minors are Environmental Sciences and Sustainability and Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems. I can’t wait to watch our future grow during these weeks as they learn tons of new information, gain amazing experiences and friendships, and develop a greater understanding of agriculture and natural resources.

JULIA HALL

Hey, there! My name is Miss Julia, and I am super excited about experiencing my first year at MSU’s Tollgate Farm Summer Camp as an Education Leader. I love growing vegetables at home and have a passion for connecting kids with outdoor and food systems education. In the upcoming fall, I will be a first-year kindergarten teacher. I have worked previously on farms, at camps, and for nonprofits. I graduated from the University of Dayton with an English degree, and have returned to school at Davenport University to earn my teaching certificate. I am so excited to spend this summer with camp kids and find joy in our days on the farm. I particularly love the magic of harvesting vegetables (especially carrots). When I am not on the farm, I will usually be cooking, reading, gardening, kayaking, or camping. Happy Summer! 

GRACE FEATHER

Hello! My name is Miss Grace and I'm so excited to be one of the Education Leaders this summer. This is my first summer on the farm and I'm currently a junior studying Horticulture and Community Engagement at Michigan State University. On the farm (because I'm a major plant nerd) I love spending time in the gardens, and I find it so exciting to watch all the food grow. When I'm not on the farm, I like to take care of my garden and collection of house plants, spend time with my goldfish named Bubbles, and craft.

HOLLY ZUMBRUNNEN

Hi, I'm Holly and I'm one of the Educational leaders this summer. It is my first year as a staff member, but I have been here before as a camper. I'm currently a student at U of M studying Computer Science, outside of that my passions include art, animals, miniature models, biology, and sci-fi. If I had to choose a favorite animal on the farm, it would probably be the chickens! 

ABBI HILL

Hi everyone! My name is Ms. Abbi. I am the Education Leader for Horse Camp this summer and have been since horse camp at Tollgate started! This past spring, I finished my education at Michigan State University, and in the fall, it will be my first-year teaching. I have one sister and the oldest in my family. When at Tollgate, I enjoy working with the horses (obviously!), the other farm animals, and working in the garden. Outside of Tollgate, I am either showing horses, hanging with my family/friends, or at the pool! I cannot wait to meet you!
