As a Food Access and Older Adult Nutrition Educator, Caitlin is excited to help her community be a healthier place to live, learn, work, play, and eat! This role involves working with area and statewide partners such as food pantries, senior congregate meal sites, senior centers, grocery stores, farmers markets, and more to improve nutritional food access for older adults. Caitlin also serves on various community coalitions where the focus is making policy, system, and environmental changes so the healthy choice is the easy choice for everyone. Prior to this role, Caitlin served as a Community Nutrition Instructor with MSU Extension where they worked with learners of all ages in programs such as gardening with preschoolers, to cooking with teenagers, and helping adults and seniors learn how to eat healthy on a budget.

Caitlin received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Michigan State University and continued on to obtain a Master of Arts in Environmental Education from Goshen College. Her previous work has included serving as an AmeriCorps member, curriculum writing for a farm-to-school non-profit, garden and greenhouse manager, and outdoor educator for a preschool and elementary school. When she is not at work, Caitlin enjoys farming, hiking, and exploring the great outdoors with her dog.
